Default Intake Tube Concept 2.0 (( 01-07-23 ))

I didn't care for the first intake tube and actually it was the second as I sent the first one back.

Using a tighter bend radius it looks like I can get a 6" filter on the end. We shall see when we install the Anvil Carbon-Fiberglass inner fenders.

6" Filter installed.

Need to find a good location for the MAT sensor

Since I had a very nice set of pedals made for the first version of the car I would like to use them.

The Guys at Screaming Chicken . com make a very nice adapter.

Default Test my MAT Sensor Concept and hope to start the car soon.

My goal for tonight is to mock up the MAT sensor.

Best Tool Ever !!!

Yep, The first hole was just a little bit off so I new hole was made.

I made the hole just big enough so I can temporarily thread the fitting in. So we can possible start the car this weekend ( 01-11-23 )

It's not permanent but it will do for start up.

Default 2nd Chance Start Up To Do List & Start Up 1st Attempt (( 01-14-23 ))

Safety First

Remember I built this and that is why I bought two !!!

Mike and I checking every possible fitting

yep, it was loose

Battery on the charger

Adding distilled water.

Well it wasn't me that leaked all over the floor.

Next time I will make sure the petcock is closed on the bottom of the radiator and yes we were laughing at me.

It's nice having moral support from your friends when you need it.

Heater core hose bypass is also leaking and it was the clamps.

Safety wired the intake tube to the Radiator.

We have power and Andrew AKA Dr EFI and I are on the phone.

It's a very simple website but here it is and trust me he is good. https://drefi.net/

Connecting the power and Andrew is trying to remote connect into the ECU.

We have Lights ..... however we have issue's

I am so happy I made this thing serviceable.

Not Good - All the lights are White and we are unable to connect to the handheld.

Calling it and we are going to try to figure out what the issue is.

Hopefully it is something I screwed up and a simple fix so we reschedule for next weekend.

Andrew AKA Dr EFI gave me a couple suggestions of what to look for and I will work on that later today or tomorrow.

Default Since it didn't go so well (( 01-14-23 ))

Well, sometimes you just need to move on and take some parts off. So off came the lower valance so I can eventually install the Anvil Carbon inner fenders.

Pictures for reference

Valance is off and heading to my office attic

Default Pulled out more of my notes (( 01-15-23 ))

Since I couldn't remember what the blue white wire does I pulled out some of my notes. Yep, it's the tach output signal wire.

I am also relocating the Holley Ground Wire down to the shut off terminal.

Certain ''Hot'' wires on going to be on the top post DSE Battery terminals.

However, I am not a big fan of them as they just don't seem to grip the battery post.

I am also considering adding a positive post on the core support just like the negative post.

Reference pictures because my memory sucks !!!

Default Removing the Vintage Air to get it out of the way

Since it is only a 30 minute job to remove the Vintage Air unit I am taking it out so I can access all of the wire if we have an issue when we try to start it again on the 21st.

The Blue White Wire - Yep I am going to move it just in case I want to install an old school tach.

Fingers crossed that I will be starting the car this weekend.

One more task added to the list. I am going to drill a hole in this bracket to run the wire directly through the center of this bracket and tuck it under the carpet.

Default Labeling a couple more wires. (( 01-17-23 ))

I realized when the Vintage Air unit is in the car I was unable to tell what each one of the fuses were for.

So apparently it is very important to not stack the 11.0 Loose Wire Ground so I am going to move it 2'" away from the ground stud.

I moved the blue white wire to where the Holley Digital dash will be.

Apparently Remy decided it was nap time.

Remember those DSE Top Post terminals apparently the positive one broke overnight.

Going to plan "B" or is it "C" or is it "D"

These have a little more beef however I am not sure if I like them cosmetically.

So, well the issue seems to be resolved by moving the Loose wire ground and actually hooking up the Holley Main Ground. DA !!!!!!!!

Yes, I actually forgot to install the main ground wire for the unit and yep I am an idiot.

Test Ignition on and what do you know it actually works.

Junking the DSE Terminals and trying these.

Moving on to the Loose Wire Ground and have I told you how much I love this drill.

I stripped all of the paint and coated with Dielectric grease.

This is what happed to the hose clamp on the water pump heater core lines. Apparently I opened it up to much and the inside slider
sleeve was pinched. So I am just going back to the old style stainless steel line clamps. On a side note these are almost impossible
to see when they are in the car.

Default High Speed Welding Intake Tube (( 01-18-22 ))

I dropped of the intake tube to Dennis at High Speed Welding to have him install the actual NPT bung got the MAT Sensor.

Found the Holley Dash. It wasn't really lost it was just up on the Garage Attic shelf.

Remy's up and want's to go to bed as do I. Plus I have to get up early to have a Mohs procedure done on my left
calf. Apparently the biopsy wasn't in my favor and they need to remove more tissue to make sure they removed
all of the skin cancer cells.

Default Screaming Chicken to the Rescue. (( 01-22-23 ))

Unfortunately we didn't attempt to start the car on Saturday as my leg was pretty sore and the Doctor told me I need to stay off my feet for 3 days. Holy **** is it hard to sit on the coach for two day and stay off the bike for 2 or 3 weeks.

So I jumped on the Screaming Chicken website and ordered all the parts I wanted. Let's just call this a late Christmas present.

When I get the new steering shaft I will drop the Steering column off at the Body shop to get repainted satin black.

The old levers are coming off and I think they are going to Ron.

I also bought a longer charge wire for the Optima charger.

I rescheduled the start date to the 28th with Andrew. Let's hope I get everything sorted out by Saturday morning.
