Default Camaro LT5

You may recall earlier we added a oil to oil diff cooler. This is the Gen 5 ZL1 diff cooler.

These are the cooling lines that move the transmission fluid. It is a loop. There is a electric pump that circulates the trans fluid through a oil to water heat exchanger in the radiator then the chilled trans fluid gets pumped back to the diff. It goes though a oil to oil heat exchanger then back to the trans. This is how GM does it in production except the trans pump is built into the transmission.

The line pass thought the DSE rear crossmember then go through the passenger rocker. Keeps the packaging clean and the line protected.

Love that oil cooler setup. Quite a bit of fab but turned out phenomenal.

What hose are you using, Mark. I see it's Earls. I'm not familiar with a grey hose from them, though.

The car is coming together great and looking phenomenal as always.

Several brands carry the same hose under different names btw. Fragola Race-Rite Pro is what I went with on the my builds. The crimper and required dies, tooling, etc are certainly an investment but the time that it saves assembling hoses pays off in the long run. The performance, durability, flexibility (bend radius), flow and light weight of the hose made it worth it to me. The Pro or Extreme add an externally wound stainless steel wire that provides vacuum support and tighter bend capability.

Fragola Race Rite & Race Rite Pro
Brown & Miller Pro Gold Aramid Braid
Earl's Ultra Flex Kevlar Braided
XRP ProPlus Race Hose & ProPlus Extreme

The hose is $24.00 a foot and you're worried about the crimper? (Although I didn't look at the price of the crimper...)
