Default Oil Pan

Here is the oil pan that I picked up from Hendrick. Left over Busch Grand National pan that was never used with piston squirters.

90 degree fitting on the front of the pan is for the piston squirters

Wowł!!!

Like the old saying goes... "If it's good enough for pro-touring, it's good enough for NASCAR."

Default The "pro" part of pro touring

may apply, not sure about the touring though...

That pan probably weighs about 25 lbs. They make them thick so they do not get sucked in by pump. When those pans were new and they were running SB2 motors they were about $2100. I got it for $450 with fittings, instruction sheet, gaskets.

I hear you on the garage art. I have almost bought used parts that I would never use just for that very thing.

Is there any concern about the pick-ups being all on the same side or does the dry-sump nullify that issue. I take it you plan to turn in more than 1 direction.

Default Rotation

of the crank throws oil to that side of the pan...why the pick ups are on the right. Have a 5 gallon tank that will have about 3.5 gallons of oil in it. Motor gets oil supply from tank not from pan, so it will not starve in right hand corners....I asked the same question when I bought it.
