alright we are on the car full time now and its getting ready for paint so I am going to post up some build shots to where we are so you can all get caught up.
This car was a 1966 Ford Mustang GT matching numbers, yes that is right a matching number car that we are going to cut up and rework to make it look like it should have when Ford built it.
This car came to us with paint done ready to go back together that is all it needed. We were going to just do a nice restore on the car and we found rust so you know what that means complete car needs to come apart and start over.
If we are going to start over why not just go all out well that is what we are going to do. Every panel on this car is rebuilt or reworked in some fashion. I will post as many pictures as I can to get you all caught up and as some of you may have seen we brought this car out to SEMA in raw metal.
This car was in our booth at SEMA last year in the raw stages to show the kind of work our shop does and to show everyone in this industry that we are not afraid to let people see whats under the paint. Lots of people say we cant get things done and we only bring cars to SEMA that are half done but we bring cars to shows in that stage so you can see how they were built. Not to mention we had 8 cars at SEMA last year on display all over the place.
Check out the build pics and let me knwo what you think and if you have questions ask.
heres what we found under the paint, nice work for a car that had a $10,000 paint job on it.
Here are all the panels that had rust
