Coys vs. Boss 338-(67 Impala Fastback)

I would love to be able to afford a really high end set of rims and tires, unfornutaly, Forgelines, and Rushforths are totally out od my league right now so I'm looking at Coys and Boss 338 in Chrome.
They are priced similarly but I'm leaning to the Boss as they have a HUGE dealer network and available locally.
I'm wanting 20x10 rear and 20x8.5 front.
Any recommendations on tire SIZE?

I've heard alot of nightmare stories regarding Coys...so be careful there.
Give Jon Henson @ www.driverzinc.com a shout for his take on what would fit best,he's done several Impala's and had one himself...

I've heard the same. I have a set of their 18" wheels. Aside from the stupid valve stem placement (directly under the rotor/caliper) that doesn't play well with big brakes, they're ok.

If I had it to do over again, I would have tried really really hard to find a way to increase my wheel budget to afford something like a boze, intro or rushforth wheel. There are a few less expensive Newgen wheels that they've introduced as well. Whatever you decide, Driverzinc would be a well placed phone call.

I have to say I have had nothing but good luck with Coys, I do agree with the placement of the valve stem can be a pita but putting in a flush one helps, overall we have been very happy with them and their customer service we have them installed on three of our cars and love them.

I have had 3 sets of coys and 0 problems, i personally think they look better. the lip section makes them look wider than they actually are. when i had 20x8.5s on my camaro, poeple would always ask how wide they were, and when i told them they would be suprised.

Do what I did. I purchased a used set of Rushfoth's with Nitto 555's. 285/40/18 aon 18x10 and 245/40/18 on 18x8. $2200 with shipping. I have seen some killer deals out there. Be patient and watch for the killer deal and jump on it. Look at some of the older for sale adds. If the rims are still available the owner may be more inclined to deal.

Have you looked at Raceline wheels? Maybe they're in your budget.
