Default 70 Camaro - Boise, Idaho

Restarting my thread in the Project Update Forum. I started in early 2014 with a complete tear down, blast an epoxy. Tubs, 4 link, some rust repair, cage, sub-frame and some interior work including new trans and trans tunnel is all complete. A ton of pictures following. Thanks again to everyone for your inspiring builds.

Installed sort of a reverse mold for the custom fiberglass interior panels, probably seems a little strange to use wood, expanding foam insulation and drywall putty....but this was a quick way to shaping this mold. Then I laminated glass over the top. Of course this will all get removed later in the build and the glass will be covered with leather and alcantera. The wood mold will get removed and tossed, of course then I will need to mount the interior panels, truth be told, I haven't figured that out yet but I wanted to get this done prior to installing the roll cage so I could put the cage bars tucked up as tight as possible. It looks rough now...but it's a good base with a cool shape.

Roll Cage was next. I left the door bars off for now, just to make access easier.

Had to modify the bottom of the doors to fit around the cage and also installed Ring Bros hinges. Pretty Sweet pieces.

Seat mounting brackets. Went through a couple redesigns but for certain have DSE to thank for the concept from one of their first gens. I spent a fair amount of time notching the sub frame connectors and lowering the seat mounts in order to get my head as far away from the rollbar as possible. There is another 1/2" to be had by modifying the seat brackets...for another day.
