Default Ridetech Tiger Cage Installation

Reaching out to anyone who has experience with a Tiger Cage Installation. Did your installation go smoothly? I am installing one in my 1969 Firebird.

The main hoop bolts to brackets bolted to the rocker area. These brackets bump up to the wiring gutters by the door sills. I am having difficulty getting the hoop to line up properly with the brackets. I can force them into position, but where it lines up best with the door frames, the brackets would have to mount wider than the wire gutters. Debating if trimming the pinch weld by the wire gutters would be a viable alternative.

Anyone else run into this fitment issue? This is a Firebird and not a Camaro, I hope this isn't my issue. Other than this, the bars fit very nicely, following roofline, door jambs, and quarter window lines very nicely.
