Default Time to play...

Well it's been almost 3 years since I first brought my '66 Velle home. Researching and saving some funds to get things started right...and so now we have begun. I use the word 'we' because I've been waiting for a good friend of mine (Steve - aka anny001) to make some time for my car. As some may know he's building his piece of art '69 Camaro, and is almost ready for paint. I would trust no one else with my girl.

A bit of history here:
* Very solid Georgia car - 327 sport coupe, lemonwood yellow - poorly cloned to an SS about 10-12 years ago.

To date:
* Speed Tech's complete Track Time kit - with AFX spindles and steering gear
* Kore3 C5/C6 complete kit (satin black finish)
* Ididit black powder coated tilt wheel
* Set of AR Hopsters 17x8 (front) 17X9.5 (rear) - temporary for build.
* Set of ProCar seats

Future goals:
* LS(?) + 6-speed
* Marchall guages (mint green/red pins - 60's retro)
* nice set of 18X9 (front) 18or19x12 (rear) - tubbed of course.

The Philosophy for the build:
Like many of you passionate people, I want the car to look factory SS correct for the year, finished in a lovely '70 Chevelle Shadow Gray - with the modern DNA mentioned above...

Special thanks to my good friend Steve for all his expertise and time. Thanks to Lateral-G and fellow members who I continue to learn and be inspired by. Keep you posted...

Very nice! The 66s are may favorite of the early Chevelles. Good luck! Sounds like a great start and plan
