F is the weight
k is the spring rate
x is the compressed spring length at that weight.
The only way to lower your car is to get a shorter spring, a softer spring rate or lowering your nut that holds the bottom of the spring.

Thanks for this info. Do you know if QA-1 makes a shorter spring than the spring the GM coilover conversion comes with? I'm guessing they do...
