Default LS dilemma

I have a ls1/t56 setup from an 01 camaro that I had installed and running in my 62 Nova. The plan was to put 243 heads, different cam, and slightly bigger injectors (was hoping for around 400hp). My wife caught the car bug and decided she wanted a farm truck for herself. So while my car has been disassembled for paint, we bought her a 56 international. We also pulled a 6.0 from an 03 escalade. Wife just wants her truck running with a reliable power plant. I decided to put the ls1 in her truck and leave it stock. My question is this:

I like the look of the ls6 intake manifold and having drive by cable in my nova as I have already sorted all of this and fabbed a few things accordingly. Do you guys see any issues running the ls1 with the truck intake and dbw in her truck and the 6.0 with ls6 intake and dbc in my car. Also, I have a set of 799 heads fresh from the machine shop that I was going to install on the 6.0 along with a cam and injectors. I know the 799 heads have a smaller combustion chamber which will raise compression and I don't plan on boosting either motor.

No, there's nothing wrong with what you're doing. Everything is cathedral style heads so the parts will swap. You can use the 799 heads or you can swap to any other heads including Gen 4 style if you want. You'll have to swap the intake though if you do that.

243/799 heads are the same casting so there’s no difference in chamber size. 799 has a overall rougher texture due to casting method, but they are one in the same.
