Default Help with Sutton Sauce

Hi guys,

I unfortunately fell victim to Ron's bull**** before the unveiling of the Dirt Missile and need some advice on my build.

Should I nix his geometry adjustments? I can email a Suspension Analyzer file.

He re-valved my Penske Triples, and after seeing that Greg's JRi's got f'd where should I send them to be fixed?

Here's a little info on the car and my build thread
https://www.ctsvowners.com/forum/27-...ld-thread.html
2009 CTS-V
441 Ci LSX
TR6060
Full roll cage
Custom Wide Body (315/345's)

Any help would be really appreciated.

Blake

That’s a wicked car, nice work! I only skimmed the first page of the build thread, have you run the car with the RS BS on it?

I’d talk with JJ at Ultimate Performance about the Penske set up. Not only is he the most handsome and well dressed at the track, he’s also the go to guy for a lot of professionals. I dealt with him years ago when Mike Maier had him set up my JRI’s.

Wicked car! Wow. Very cool.

Other than the shocks, what all did you buy from him?

I only had him "optimize" the suspension points and revalve the shocks I already owned based on that. I bought some spring too.

Obviously after seeing everything that went down with Greg i don't want to take any chances on any of it.

Great car! Love the direction you've gone with it.

Has it not been on the track since you made the changes Ron suggested to it? Last update on that thread was May 2018 I believe.

Is the CTS-V a strut car? From my limited experience they are a whole 'nother animal than a Short Long Arm car...and take a completely different strategy to make them work and not kill tires.

No had not made it to the track yet.

The front suspension is double wishbone.

I just got off the phone with JJ @ Ultimate. He actually worked on the JRi setup the other CTS-V road race cars were running, so he's familiar with the platform.

So sorry we didn’t all pull the plug on him way earlier......

JJ is smart enough of a business man — and he’s a good guy — that if he didn’t know - he’d say so and tell you who to go to.

The reason I post up all the stuff I do about the whole sordid affair is to give others a chance at checking their stuff and questioning the validity etc.... While it’s a PITA and usually costly —- what we all really want is for our builds to be mostly right....
