Default What flat clear is being used on engines and underhood

Not sure I really trust what my local paint supply guys are telling me , they are great guys but none of them are painters.
looking for a no gloss clear for the engine and components , I have used ppg flex and flat before but you have to mix to your desired likeness. Is there a clear that is ready to spray out of the can with the correct sheen ?
Also trying to replicate with paint the texture that is in the powdercoat we are using, any luck with texture additives under paint ? ( light texture is what were after ) What is everybody using these days and what are you happy with...THANKS FOR ANY HELP..

We use use PPG global 8115 matte or 8117 semi, or a mixture of the 2. They are factory pac clears. As far as texture, that will require experimenting. You might be able to use chip guard for texture, but not sure what your painting.

Southern Polyurethanes has a quality matte clear that is reasonably priced.
