Does this help?

Rear Housing Casting Date
Example: D141 - (D = Month, 14 = Day, 1 = Last digit of year (1971)).

Month: A = Jan, B = Feb, C = Mar, D = Apr, E = May, F = Jun G = July, H = Aug, I = Sep, J = Oct, K = Nov, L = Dec

Thanks.

I am more concerned over the length than the numbers. Although, if I could decifer the numbers then I would know exactly what rear end is in my car...

If a rear from a 69 Camaro is the same width, I will be happy to measure my old one for you.

Please be more specific on one point to what point you need measured.

I need the measurement from backing plate to backing plate....

I know mine is not the original....so I may need to end up buying one from one of the board members...I just need to make sure the length is correct....

Okay, the only way I was able to get this measured is from OUTER HUB face to OUTHER HUB face, in other words right againt where the drum slipped on and wheel bolts up.

This is exactly 60" from side to side. We added 2.5" on each side to the 9" for the Ford 9" conversion and C5 rear wheel offset.
