stock 70 Chevelle ride height
My friend recently purchased a restored 70 SS 396/4 speed Chevelle. He wants the rear end to come down about an inch compared to the front. It sits too high for his tastes. However, he doesn't know what he has now compared to correct and neither do I. He's not going for a lowered look. He wants a stock look. Here are the measurements from the ground to the top of the wheel wells. The car does have the wheel well trim though that only has a minor affect on the measurement. Can any one tell me if the rear needs to come down or the front come up? I'm pretty sure he's going to want to bring the rear down as he hasn't commented on the front being too low. The car is riding on the factory 14in ralley rims with 245/60 BFG Radial TAs on there.
LF 25 3/8 in. LR 27 9/16 RF 24 7/8 RR 27 3/4
I didn't see any tags on the rear springs to be able to identify them. This isn't a factory correct restoration car. Suggestions on how we should go about making changes to get the car to look correct ride height wise is appreciated.
Thank you
