Default Tire suggestions

Hey guys, I need your suggestions on tires for my 70 nova, mini tubbed, going with an 18x10 rear wheel, and prob 18x8 up front. Mostly street driven with the occasional xcross or track time. Looking for a wide tire, 305,315, etc. Thanks all

Mary Pozzi suggested and uses Kumho Ecsta XS's. They are an awesome autocross tire and they are good in the wet too. I am going to run these on my Saleen and or whatever 70 Camaro I end up with. Check them out and they are priced good for the quality of tire. I hope this helps.

im curious is it ok to run a 315 on a 10 inch rim? Because im looking to do the same thing but i thought a 10 inch rim was a bit on the small side for a 315...sorry to the OP, dont mean to hijack the thread

315 on a 10 will look like crap. I have 275's on my 10.5'' wheels and it looks right.

I mean it'll fit, but I personally like the square sidewall look, you'll have a huge cantilever effect doing that. Looks fugly.

its all in the numbers. I would not run a 315 on a 10. The biggest we will go is a 305. A 10" wide wheel measures 11" wide bead to bead. So if you are looking for a square sidewall run a 285. A 285 measures ~11.13 wide. If you need any help feel free to give us a call.

Thx guys, I appreciate the help, I didn't think about it being bubbled. Kinda bummed, I was hoping for a wide wheel, but can't justify the xtra money for widening just for a couple tire sizes. Thx again
