That there down bar set up was pried from the clasp hold of Mr "Flash68" Dave Gordon., and "Badmotorfinger" He was gracious enough to part with it, and I was able to acquire it. I believe he got it when he originally bought the car. It is a cool set up,,, but that center bar is a heavy S.O.B.

4 point Roll bar is D.S.E. -, The plate making up the corner grasps on a solid section, allowing for a solid location for mounting. Were still working on bringing in some additional bars inside, down by the seat, and up to firewall back.

Yes the car is over at Rich's shop. "CrossRamRich" - Road Touring Customs

Cool project. Like the direction you're heading with this one. Will be following along.

Default Progress

Thanks fot the nudge! I need that once and a while!.

The underside has been cleaned up. Sheet-metal gone thru, seam seal as needed.. underside undercoated.
Front end assembled and gapped for auto-body.
Working on roll bar design down bars by the side of the seat.

also have to re-design the cross bar that goes across the engine bay, as the stock original cowl hood interferes with the bar / vise versa. (Dave Gordon's
car had a fiberglass hood that didn't have all that metal in the way).

I am waiting on receiving the rear axle housing from Speedtec so we can test fit the new Torque Arm. Powder-coat to follow.

.

A funny thing on the lower front panels. they had this built out
mudflap type thing on the fenders, just behind the front wheels.
Rich and I were looking them over, and they did one hell of a
metal job on them, as they didn not appear to have been cut
or modified from factory origional

Both sides were identical, but the outside body part, did have bondo to fill in the swooping curve.

has anyone else seen this?

You can do a military tribute, without going overboard. Great taste on the color choice, love the 67 camaro's - very down to business looking cars.
