Default Brake Lines Brake Lines Brake Lines (( 11-21-20 ))

Picking up where I left off I need to connect both front calipers to the master and my goal was to keep is simple and fairly
easy build. I plan to install a Knotchead line clamp under it to support it.

Time to make the final line.
Since I made reference marks on the practice line I used those to make the new line all in one piece and it turned out exactly how I wanted it.

Yep, I kept practicing with the scrap pieces to help me learn where to line up the tools so I can get the desired bends.

So I was feeling a little bit ambitious and I gave it another crack on the crossover line on the subframe.

I needed an extra hand so I put the brake line bender in my Grandfathers Vice and wow was this a total game changer
it was like having Mike in the garage helping me.

I just realized the sweatshirt that I am wearing in this picture was the last gift I received from my Grandmother before she died
in 1989. It had moved with me many times over the years and I never wore it. A few years back I pulled it out and decided I would
finally where it.

Using the reference marks I made allowed me to duplicate the final line all in one piece. I also traced out the line with string
so I new exactly how much line was necessary. It would have sucked if I had started with a 60" line as this line turned out to be 62" in length.

The final flare and yes the fitting is on !!!

The tape makes the line not look centered but it is actually almost perfect.

Default Not Going to lie bending these lines scares me (( 11-27-20 ))

As the title says I am a little bit nervous trying to remake these lines.

My plan is to take the existing line and straighten then bend it like it needs to be since I moved things around a little bit.

Okay it worked

Here we go

I need this darn fitting !!

I am very happy for the outcome of line # 1

To keep it clean I am going to use the Knotchead line clamps to secure the lines together.

More to come later as I want to get home so I can work on the car tonight.

Default Since the rear line didn't match I remade it so it would. (( 11-28-20 ))

Using some the bend templates that I made helped to make this a much easier project.

The good news is I did it in one shot with what I have learned so far.

I wanted to link the lines together so I will be using the Knotchead line clamps. A quick trip to the local Ace Hardware to pick up
some hardware and while I was there I scored a couple Hot Wheels Syclones. I also stopped a Dairy Queen for a Blizzard.

Default Throttle Bracket - Still playing around a ((11-28-20))

Trying to make this bracket a little leaner.

I think if I trim it down to something like this and get it anodized black it will blend right in. Before I trim it down I need to get a new Lokar throttle cable.

Radiator ((11-29-20))

I want to hide as many wires as possible so the horn wire will sneak behind the core support. I used a piece of door edge guard to protect the wires.

little bit of an overkill to crimp and solder but what the heck why not.

Moving on to the Kicker Bluetooth Stereo

I tried to make the trunk a little more comfortable for me back.

I need to run a 3.5mm extension up to the center console and the cable for the controller which will be mounted in the lower dash or center console. I won't decide that till I figure where the cup holders are going to go.

Default The final brake line ((12-03-20))

I am finally getting around to make the final brake line and it's tiny.

The best tip ever is to secure a rubber band around the grips so you don't have to worry about holding them closed.

Just a tiny bit longer and it works perfect.
