What's interesting to me is they spend a good deal of that half a mil+ price on making newer donor cars look older, where as the PT/restomodders make older cars look more modern.

Oh I know.
When I watched this vid 4 years ago with Chris Harris going over minute details with the head guy in the Singer shop, I was floored when he said at the 17 min mark that the wiring harness was $30K.

Its amazing to me how far things can go with no budget limits.

Not too phat, but cool that the Miami PD was using this one in the 80's (reportedly just for show; confiscated from a drug dealer).

That can't be true...there are no drug dealers in Miami.
