Default Newbie going try to make a pro touring 1970 Z28

Well I have been a long time stalker on the site but can finally make a build thread. I purchased this car today pretty good starter or best one could find. I want to make this a pro touring car with a ls swap. So here we go hope to have it done in one year. Love the site and am thankful to look at everyone's great builds to give me the motivation to try to do the same.

I will take some better pics of the car tomorrow when it is light. By the time got it home was starting to get dark.

Congrats on your purchase. Post up some detailed pictures if you can.

Regarding your swap, make a plan and stick to it. That way you can have controls on your budget. Also, any plans on the suspensions/brakes, or other upgrades? If so, set realistic goals for the car (track car/cruiser/bone stock other than LS swap) and stick to it.

Good luck.

I have the car at my friends shop when I get back in town will definitely post better pics. I want the car for a cruiser only so just want a stock ls3 with bolt ons only. Just typical pro touring look big brakes, big wheels, ls powered, thinking of coil overs in the rear, and mini tubbed. Have a 35k budget so have 23k this year. Then more the next year so thinking power plant, brakes, suspension, and interior this year. Next year mini tub and complete paint job with new wheels. I figure will have 50 - 60k in this car when it is done but know can easily have way more depending.

That's a lot to accomplish when we only have 1.5 week left this year.

Just messing with you man. Good luck and keep us posted.

This is a project I'd like to do, so I'll be tagging along to learn what I can.
