Default 1960 Biscayne IRS LS9 at Roadster Shop

Thought I'd start a standalone thread for this chassis project - some may have seen it in our projects thread.
With the huge popularity of these big body '60's cars, it would seem a natural evolution is to go from just making them look cool, to making them seriously move...this one definitely falls in the latter category.

The car arrived as a pretty stock looking Biscayne in fairly nice shape:

First step was to liberate the body from the old X frame...

Another cool build in the works. I see the corner of the blue 67 Chevelle in the one pic. Any updates on it?

At the same time, construction begins on the new chassis: a Fully independent FAST TRACK '58-'64 chassis with provisions for.........an LS9!

More details on the chassis (specs, pricing, options etc) HERE

The blue '67 is still on the backburner. Being a shop project, it's tough to cram it in among the 20-odd other customer cars! If we get back on it, I'll get some pics up.

And for all the 'things in the background' folks...yup....it's a Pantera about to receive a Roadster Shop chassis, and a '60 Impala!

And a quick Photoshop of the rims the customer has settled on so far, Schott Challenger eXL's in 20" diameter:

Very cool build. What about paint? Are the plans to keep it simple maybe even leave the current paint alone? To me, the color works with the car and would look good.
