Default Floor pan plugs

After doing a yahoo search I found that camaro floor pan plugs were originaly installed dimple up? is this true? how are you guys installing yours and what did you use to secure them to the floor?

I have seen them both ways but yes if I remember correctly they go up. I think the line workers were not always that careful on how they put them in.
