We use them a lot too.

Hooker long tubes LS swap $1060
Ultimate headers $1195

Not a huge price difference, really.. And Ultimate's are 321 grade SS and have ARP bolts.

Mine were a lil bit more Dale. Don't know if y'all get a better rate being a shop. I also opted for the ceramic coating finish too.

Nah just grabbed prices off the two websites.

Yes ceramic is the pricey one and mirror polished!

I am very happy with my Ultimate Headers. I worked with Jim on my headers, I wanted them tucked up super tight. I have a LT4 in a DSE subframe using my own mount plates and the DSE LS motor mount towers.

Initially he sent them to me just tacked together. After shipping them back and forth a couple times I just broke the tacks and adjusted and re-tacked them myself. He then welded them up. I now have 1/2" clearance to the floor pans. I wouldn't go any closer so I have all the ground clearance I can get.

All in all he was super accommodating and I now have an awesome set of headers!

Sweet pics Stan. Thanks for the reassurance. So far, Jim has been great to deal with.

I apologize for this being crazy off topic, but my RS chassis is about to arrive and I'd really like to know what's up with the wood wheels in this pic. Will they roll or are they just for mock up? I need something while I set up the frame.

Sorry, just now seeing this. But, 2 things...(1) not my chassis, but yes they roll and (2) I doubt RS send woods wheels with their chassis's. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Jim @ Ultimate Headers really helped me out with my headers. Definitely recommend them. Here are the headers on my RS chassis.

I always wonder if it would be easier to nail the clearance and nearly as good power-wise to go with a mid-length? You guys are going to make nutty power either way...

We've used them and like the way they look, fit, and perform. Black ones on the LT4 Camaro project.
