Default Pictures coming soon

I agree pics are needed and I'll post some as soon as I have my donor car here and stripped down.Right now the car is just a bare shell as I recently stripped it out.I ahve the engine and trans under shrinkwrap and I've got the cro-mo flywheel and headers and other parts all spread around my house and shop.If you think this thread sucks without pics and is worthless then that is your opinion.Right now my house is being remodeled and I spend a lot of my spare time searching for parts and at the gym,so please be patient. Thanks to those of you with encouragement for building a secon gen,but don't get angry at me for replacing the dash, gauges, and some interior parts with fourth gen TA parts.I have looked at both camaro and my wifes WS6TA and i feel that the more rounded and curvy looks of the pontiac dash fits the shape and style of the sec gen car better.Don't worry I'll be using an aftermarket steering wheel and remove and /or cover any pontiac logos that there might be showing. So don't crucify me as a traitor.I looked at some pics of a '71 firebird done the same way and in fits almost like it was made for it.I promise to deliver on some pics as soon as I have time. Thanks again for the welcome from all of you.I hope too hear from you guys again and pick your brains as I have seen a lot of intelligent discourse.I think you are some of the best people on line at any of the forums I've subscribed too. Thanks again!

Did we mention we want to see pics? I am just playing with you. Sort of. Do what you need to do and post pictures when you have time. As far as getting mad for replacing parts on YOUR car, not going to happen here. It's yours. Build it your way. If we all wanted restored cars we would be on those web sites not this one. I hope you make it throught the remodel ok, been there, done that!
I know I would really like to watch your car come together. I have a 70 myself and any other second gen getting the treatment only keeps me going on mine.

Default thanks for the support

70RS you are a hell of a nice guy and I really appreciate your understanding in my situation.I wish I could spend a lot more time on the project than I have been so far,but right now I'm having to settle for gathering more parts (as of now I've ran out of room in my storage facility and my storage building at my house and even have had to resort to storing most of the interior parts in my house ),so you can see i've really got my hands full.I'd like to see some of your pics if you have the time.My wife and I have had this car for over 20 years and it means a lot to us both to see it done to it's fullest potential. So thanks for your understanding and I'll post some pre teardown pics(from the late 80's as soo as I can locate them)and some of the parts collected so far as soon as I can.I still would like to ask your opinions on color.I'm leaning towards a 2008 chrysler orange on the charger or a 2003 GTO yellow,as well as something understated like a dark charcoal grey with mettallic black ghost stripes.Any thoughts anyone?Especially you 70RS.Thanks again for the priviledge of your time.

I kind of lean to the darker colors. I like the orange and some yellow just not on my own car. I like them a little understated. But there are some really nice red, orange, white, silver second gens on this site.

I am in a similar position with time, I am collecting parts slowly right now and when I am ready I will move forward with my project. I am having surgery on my shoulder in the morning (of the 5th). The injury has brought the entire thing to a screeching halt as far as actually working on it.

What kinds of parts have you gathered up so far?

The cyber grey metallic on the new Camaro is a beautiful color, but the orange on the Charger is a sharp color too. Just my 2cents.

I agree Tony. The grey is a really nice looking color. I think that would look great.

Default color conundrum

I am stuck between the dark charcoal grey (for the understated look) I kind of agree with 70RS on the understated look ,but I really love the orange Charger color.I work out with a guy who has the exact color charger and I just can't seem to get the idea of my car (with a few subtle body mods)with that shade all over it.Right now I am extremely conflicted, but 70RS may have some input that will change my mind.As for parts I'll have to take inventory to get an accurate list. They are stored in every available space including my living room in boxes right now as I've ran out of outside storage space and the weather plus some medical situations have stopped any actual work for a (hopefully)short time. But I WILL have some pics as soon as I get the spare time to get some things mocked up.thanks for the support from most of you,as I get discouraged when things aren't moving at athe pace I would like.
