Default T56 Magnum purchase

Guys, I have a buddy who wants a T56 Magnum and I'm trying to see where are some of the normal places to find a good deal on one. I, personally, bought mine from Jeg's years ago. Or is the average going price on one about the same no matter where you go...about $3200?

about the same where ever you go. Tremec keeps a pretty tight leash on prices.

Yeah I've never seen them advertised for cheaper. You may be able to get other perks from vendors when you buy from them. I got a free shift lever and knob along with free shipping from Bowler.

I just got mine today. Bought from a member on here gnx7, who owns NorCal Motorsports. I had a t56, but wanted something that would actually shift at rpm. It’s the new FBody Magnum, which is a direct drop in for the tried and true FBody t56. $3395 with yoke and shifter.

Woohoo Scott. Are you gonna put it behind that sweet, new motor of yours and tear up the streets of Georgia?

Indeed! Pretty excited. The t56 is sloppy and this new close ratio magnum is super tight and precise. The 434 will wind up pretty high. I have the rev limiter set to 7800. I’ll “attempt” to shift at 8k and the poor t56 laughs at me. This new magnum will easily shift at 8k.
I will update my build thread. I’ve added Vintage Air, a new Holley accessory drive, built the 434, and now a new magnum. Plus I got a fancy camera so I’ll post new pics.
