In June 2010 this car arrived at JCG restoration & Customs to get some suspension upgrades with fender stretching LS Conversion. When a rendering was done by Ben Hermance the scoop of the project changed. The rendering set a new the path of the build. The owner basically asked Cris Gonzalez of JCG to build the car as if he was building it for himself. Cris being a big fan of Vintage Trans Am style Camaros, he implemented as much of the style into the build with modern drive train & comfort creatures. The main objective of the car has always been for it daily driven if required but also raced @ any Pro-Touring events thru out the county.

The part of the project that was not expected was the design & machining of one off components. JCG ability to design & machine components was put to the test as each step of the build was in process from Interior, exterior, engine compartment, plumbing, exhaust, & underside. To compliment the build, DSE, Vintage Air, Forgeline, Nitto, Spek Gages, XRP, Sparco, Anvil Auto, Wilwood Engineering, Ringbrothers & ARP components were used.

In September 2011 the build was chosen to be a part of the Hot Rod Industry Alliance Banquet for SEMA, so the crunch began to get the car competed to attend the event. JCG got the car completed & the car was shown for the first time @ SEMA 2011. The Camaro made its own statement when un-veiled @ SEMA. It was also the first time the owner got see the car completed & had a grin from ear to ear. It meet all his expectations & more. The owner also got to drive it for the first time in Las Vegas.

In November 2011 car was taken to the Goodguys Car Show in Del Mar to take its first run thru the Autocross with David & Mary Pozzi @ the wheel. While at the show, the car also got nominated for Muscle Machine of the year Finalist for 2012. The car will be very busy for the year of 2012 attending all race events thru the Mid-West & some on the West Coast.
