My Buick is a
72 Custom coupe, V8 350ci, 4 barrels, power brakes, power steering, A/C, 4
drums!, bench seat, and the color is Burnished Copper (M63)...
I had it with aluminum wheels, which I replaced by Cragar Street Star a few
years ago, otherwise I left the car as i get it until now.
But now it's time for serious work....As the car was getting more and more noisy
(worn bushings, old parts) and oily (leaks, etc..), the brakes have given up the
ghost, so I had to do something....I fell in love with Mark Stielow cars,
especially "The Mule", it's how i went into the pro-touring scene... and how i
decide to temporarily drop out the VW scene ( i still dream to ,one day, build
a 47 Ford coupe with a Kustom treatment, dropped, top chop, fender skirts, grey
paint, coool,...).
The Buick will have a frame off restoration, a new paint, in/out, underside, in
the wheelarches, ...the firewall will be cleaned of all the unnecessary things,
holes and A/C box (will be replaced by a American Graffiti delete system). I
will remove the side trim and some badges. The inner wings will be also smoothed
and the battery will go to the trunk. I also would like to modify the front
grille, perhaps a GS one but the prices are very $$$$..., still thinking...
I have bought the 350(without the nitrous system) from my friend David to have a
little more power...(in the future i would like to fit a XS Performance
supercharger).Engine:

- 2,5" Flowmaster exhaust with Super 40 mufflers,
- MSD billet distributor with 6AL moul and MSD coil,
-TA (Ron Davis) radiator with dual 16" fans,
-Moroso air filter.
-Estimated power 350 hp. (will be checked on dyno)

American Racing Salt Flat Painted/polished 8x17 and 9.5x17
Tires:
Hankook Ventus Sport 235-45-17 and 275-40-17
Brakes:
Baer
front: Track 13" ,
rear: Touring 12"
Chassis:
-Hotchkiss sway bars.
-Eibach springs
-Prothane bushings suspension and body.
-Eaton LSD.
-TCI aluminum th-350 pan.
Chassis will be sandblasted and powdercoated in satin black.
Interior:
-Recaro seats. Will be recover with the same design as the original bench seat
to match the rear seat.
-B&M Pro-Stick.
-Autometer Monster tach and gauges .
-Center console (from a cavalier!?) need little mods to fit .
-All the wood trim will be removed.
