I bought my 1972 Camaro onJjuly 28th, 1998. This is when
SICMARO was created. The car has been through a lot. I drive it very hard and
broke a lot of things.
In march of 2003 I was hit at a red light. The passenger side of the car was
smashed pretty good. I decided to tear the car down and do it right. Car was
media blasted inside and out. A family friend did the paint and body. Chris
Alston cage was installed and painted to match the car. Sub-frame was
removed and powder coated along with the inner fenders and radiator support.
Installed tubular upper and lower control arms and Qa1 coil overs. Baer brakes
kit was used on the front. The rear brakes I removed from a wrecked 2000 Z28.
Engine is a 2002 LS6 with a TH350. The electric fans were used and controlled by
the pcm.
All new interior was installed. Leather seats from a 2000 F body were installed.
Fabricated gauge cluster with auto meter sport comp gauges. Power windows and
door locks with keyless entry. installed LED tail lights all around the car
including turn signals in the factory mirrors.
I basically wanted a new vehicle wrapped in an old box. All the electronic toys
you could ask for. Future addition will included an over drive trans and 4 link
rear suspension.
