Todd Miller's 70 Buick GSX                                                  Lateral-g.net July 2006 Feature Car

G-ReX was an idea I came up with after riding in a LS-1 equipped 1969 Camaro Kurt Anderson (From Autokraft Race Cars and Restorations) had just finished building. It was August of 2005 and we had taken the Camaro to a local car show. I thought what could be sweeter than Modern Technology under the hood of a Classic Musclecar. Within one week after that we had located a Rust Free car from California and Project G-ReX was born.



The car was completely stripped down to the frame, media blasted and the build up was under way! We sent the frame out for powder coating as well as some of the engine bay pieces. My goal was to keep the Saturn Yellow GSX looking pretty stock but at the same time I wanted to apply modern technology to the suspension, brakes and drivetrain. Being somewhat of a purist I was a little concerned as to what the die hard Buick guys would think of an LS-2 under the hood. But I also figured being a Buick guy shouldn�t keep me from the Pro Touring craze. I think they would have frowned on me more if I would have gave up on Buicks and built something else.

Some of the cars key features are Vintage Air, Global West performance suspension, power windows, power disc brakes, power steering, 17� Billet Aluminum wheels (1st set in the Country) and the LS-2 Powerplant.
