Hey guys its been a while since Ive posted. Been cruising the car as much as I can as it took me 10 years to build. Went to pull my T56 out to get my second gear fixed (its grinding) and noticed my OEM slave cylinder is leaking again!!! This is the second unit I have replaced. I'm running an LS6 with a stock GM clutch and stock OEM T56 behind it. Stock clutch hydraulics as well. First slave lasted 600miles but it was a used set up as my driveline was a complete dropout from a 02 Camaro so didn't think anything of it. Replaced it last winter and cruised the car 2500 miles last summer with absolutely no issues. Parked the car in my heated garage and started a cam and cylinder head swap. Finally got it all back together last week and noticed after the engine went through a couple heat cycles I noticed the dreaded brake fluid leak from the bell housing. Pulled the trans today and inspected all the connections and found the leak from the slave cylinder. What the hell do I do now! Ive been reading about OEM and aftermarket slaves leaking. Anyone come across this? I would like to stay all GM if I could. Any help would be appreciated.
Steve

THAT is the reason why I run the old stye Z-bar clutch linkage!

thats weird my old 99 TA that was daily driver for years I replaced it when I did clutch - which wasnt worn but pilot bearing was dust, I replaced all and new slave, couple years later it exploded I was able to limp it about a mile to home, was purchased at O'reillys and L/T warranted never an issue since
on a side note I'm not to impressed with the roller pilot bearing as as its going bad it wears the input shaft
I believe the old bronze bushing is the way to go

Could it be the fittings? I have this slave line conversion in my files, 'o' ring sealing problems, check and see if yours looks similar.
