hey guys have this on a small block yip way to big had the combo on the dyno no drama but as soon as i try to idle/ cruse way to rich will kill the plugs has any blocked the intermidiate circuit
hey guys super rich at idle here are the carb spec 28high speed 51intermidiate 29idle air bleed 79primary jet 85power valve 92cscondary no pv in rear mixtuer screws 3/4 turn out primary blades set so transfer slot is square cam at .050 intake250 exuast256 valve lift in624 ex605 any starters thanks
a. Does the intermediate circuit have a removable jet type of orifice in your carb's metering body?
b. Does it seem to be a "similar amount too rich at both idle & cruise rpm" ... or is does one seem richer than the other ?
c. Are the emulsion orifices simply drilled holes ... or removable jet type orifices?
d. 3-circuit carbs are designed to be richer on the low end. So I don't normally see them in this application. Did you buy this carb for this application? Is it new or used?
e. Do you have a A/F meter you can use to help dial this carb in?
hi guys thanks for the replys here goes carb came with engine it does have screw in bleeds on the intermidate circuit thers no provison for vacume gauge but there is a blank spot at the front so will drill and tap it the emulsions are not screw in type but there is small bleeds at top of meter block on the PVside and screw in bleeds/jets right next to the main jets will purchase a/f meter i will post sum pics of the carb tomoro im in NZ so be sum time delay and thanks again also runs real rich at idle and cruise
update cleaned the carb with crc carb clean and blew out all orifices etc same with plugs cnected vacume guage also took out the 29 idle airs and straight to sum 72 well fiered it up and massive change no were near as rich got idle vac at 7.5hg makes the installed 85power valve not correct were to from here?
