Default 700 r4 swap 69 camaro

I have been doing a lot of reading about an ls swap this site has been a big help
Thanks
however the parts list and time didn't match up well with my bank account and family life
So I've decided to go another route I found a 700 r4 with a shift kit and 2800 stall out a friends 90 Camaro the price is right , my goal was to add better response and drivability, my current SBC has very few miles on it so I plan to keep it and add efi down the line
Does anyone on here have any advice for the swap ?
So far I have come up with this parts list

Shifter conversion kit
Tv cable
Crossmember
Inspection cover
Dipstick

I'm also aware my drive shaft will be shortened

Thnx in advance

Depending on how much the SBC is built, the 2800 maybe too much. I have a 700r4 with a 2000 stall with a 383 around 400hp.....Nothing earth shattering but i am a cruiser going up and down the coast to car shows...I used the existing cross member but had to modify it to fit, probably been easier to just buy one.....At 70mph, im only turning 1850rpm
