Hey. Just joined up with Latral-G... found your post on google while looking around for idea's for chopping a Nova... Anyhow, names Brian, my Dad and I have plans to do the same to our '67. It's currently at the stripping shop... We've had to remove the roof skin and whatnot due to rust and started thinking about putting more slant on the windshield. That's when we came up with the idea of just chopping it since the new skin was not installed yet...

Anyhow, did have a question about front ends... Looking for best front clip that will provide a good ride without sacrificing looks... Don't want something so stiff that you feel every little bump - no what I mean?

Was thinking about a Detroit speed but they're too damned expensive so what's a good alternative?

Thanks
Brian

Brian ,, Welcome:welcome3: :welcome3: Bang for buck on the front suspension, That is a big debate !! one I'm not qualified to answer, I went with the TCI after it was introduced,, Had read their reviews and mag., articles,,,, For my car and $$$ I went with the TCI-pro/touring,,, Any thing You throw under the front is still better than the Factory Junk,,, I had -um when they were new couldn't stop-um or corner-um in a 10acre field:superhack: :superhack: Cut it, let it hit the ground:superhack: As the top goes ,I seen the Eddie Krawic car in Super Chevy,, Loved the look , and cut it 7/8'', on the A,, 3/16'' to 0'' on the B pillar,,,, Welcome !!!!

Thanks for the info!

So your're saying you cut 3/16" on the sail(B pillar) and 7/8"(A pillar)? If so, man, that isn't much... from what I can see, it looks as if you cut and narrowed the sail's from top to bottom and just leaned the A pillars(window frames) back a bit giving the windshield a bit more slant (Bad ass!) saving time and forgoing the roof stretch.

Just seeing if my thoughts are correct on proceeding with a plan of action...

I have a ton of questions about this project and greatly appreciate and idea's and or comments.

I will be posting pictures of our progress shortly.

Thanks agian!

One other thing...

We've noticed a few cars with one piece door glass, but can't find anywhere selling the kit???

would you know where we could get a kit?

Thanks.

Brian,,, You will to get your glass cut,, I'm going with power windows , the door latch will have to be modified,,because the rod and mechanism will have to be moved to the inside of the door glass,,, I also moved the windshield header at the roof up, so the stock glass won't need to be cut,, since your roof panel is off ,, think this out for a flush mount glass,,My new glass is at the shop now,, I have a pro-glass rear,, RogerJ

Door Glass: So are you saying that we'll need to have the door glass made..?

Windshield: We had planned on cutting and shortening the sails just enough to lay the windshield pillars back a bit.

Flush mounted glass would be very cool, but it seems like more work than I'm feeling like I want to do (lol), unless I'm over-thinking it which is quite possible??? A crash course explanation would be greatly appreciated. :)

Btw, I've worked in the auto body industry for 30 years and have plenty of knowledge to share if needed, but will never claim to be an expert on any matter of the subject... ;)

Thanks
