It's temporary -- only while unpacking... I don't really create a lot of garbage so will get a smaller can and keep it inside. |

Are you kidding me dude -- I wear my hard head all the time! AND even better == they've installed a back up beeper defeat button! |

Now that you have seen the event first hand is it a bucket list item, or just something do to if I have time and cash to burn? I had never heard of it till you mentioned it. Only ones I knew of are the Nevada,Texas, and Nebraska road races.

Sponsorship or not I say we all make an assault with older iron in 2016!
Party at Welds place! |

I'm positive if you were running your car in it -- it would be a blast.... and all of the Bugatti's did a minimum of 229 -- and a high that I personally witnessed of 246.... The stock Porsche Turbos were breaking 200... a Jag F-Type R ran 190... beating both Ferrari 458's that could bust out only a 186 and a 187 BUT --- ALWAYS A BIG BUTT --- As a spectator it was not well run. Buses up (we were on the first one) - I wanted to depart at 12:00 -- I finally got on a return bus at 2:00 which meant I stood in line for that long... You sit in the sage brush and dust... IF you bring your own chair (I did)... The "cruise" which we staged at 5:00 for finally took off at about 6:30... did one loop - and parked. |

Bone stock showroom cars have seat belts last time I looked -- that and a brain bucket and it's PUNCH IT! I KNOW THE ROAD! |

I've distracted more threads on here than anyone.... In fact, I'm an expert at it. LOL Quote:
Yeah great --- My house builder called me today and wants me to help him convert a built in ironing board into a fold out bar... Is that what your talking about?? Yipppppeeeeeeeee |
Weld, I'm getting worried about you. I hadn't seen a post lately, so I was wondering if you were trapped under the pallet jack, or still driving around on the forklift. It was good to see the green dot by your name.
So how is it coming? Everything i already in place isn't it? I figured you set of the shed like you build the cars....quickly........:underchair: |

Shed is mostly done --- in the meantime the rig and I went to NorCal Shelby Club Mini Nats at Sonoma Raceway --- I'm still on the road = will be back tomorrow. |
Good to hear...Travel safe.

The carpenters are building the shelf for the big zzz Mobil sign today! Maybe I can finally get it out of the crate and up where it belongs!
Stay tuned for pics!! LOL |
Well... this little project took ALL DAY to get done but it turned out great.
The shelf is built from barn wood --- and is mortise and tenon jointed... because this sign weighs maybe 200+ pounds! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/IMG_6040.jpg From underneath.... http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/IMG_6048.jpg These guys are wood ninjas! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/IMG_6047.jpg Sorry for the lifting strap hanging in the middle of the sign - but you get the picture! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/IMG_6044.jpg |
Hope that drives up the stock price....

Speaking of stock -- you must have doubled your investment in your rental by now! I just got a report and check from one of the apartments I'm a partner in -- It's 44 units - they're saying the gross has gone from $53K to 79K A MONTH.... rents are thru the roof! |
So for sure the motor has ANOTHER broken rocker arm.... These are shaft rockers....
And some metal on the magnet. Time to tear into it and find out what's up. If it's not ready for October I'll just run the back up car. Maybe it will become the car - and a yellow POS with a bad motor will become the back up?? LOL |
Sign look good Greg.
|
We'll done Greg, and the sign looks great also!
|
Looks very nice.
I can't wait to see the finished project |

You and me both buddy! I'm tired of it already... and I have a LONG way to go! Nobody realizes how much "stuff" is in a space like this... until you pack it up and then start to unpack and put it back on the walls/shelves. It's so disruptive! Normally the last thing to pack is the stereo... and the first thing to set up is the stereo... I even brought the entire shindig over in the pickup for that reason. Sadly though -- since I wasn't here to place the TV etc -- they arbitrarily decided to just coil up the cable behind the new sheetrock. Now I have to make an appointment for the idiots to come find it and bring it thru the wall. That happened yesterday. Then - since the TV box (DirecTV) was NOT activated when it was installed - that was an hour on hold and repeating why I was calling to get it working. UGH. Maybe tomorrow - weeks after the move - I'll finally have music to work by. Of course - in the meantime - I wasn't able to set up that 15' long multi piece wall unit - because the "cable is in the wall there somewhere". Funny - the wall unit was one of the very first pieces of furniture Gwen and I bought (REAL furniture)... and that dates back to about 1976. I remember that it was about $5K - it's Rosewood... and contemporary and would still look great in a house to this day. That poor SOB has been moved so many times it's ridiculous. |

Easy apparently!! LOL It may be experiencing coil bind?? This is number 2 now. So first the tip of a titanium valve falls/breaks off.... It gets a full rebuild... next outing it has a cracked intake runner in the head... that gets epoxied.... next up is a broken rocker arm... that's an easy fix... then I got to run a full day without issues at Laguna Seca... next outing was this time - and it breaks another rocker arm and who knows what else. One more fix and the next motor is an LS. |
On top of moving the shed -- which is basically a nightmare of work... we continue to work on the dump here so we can get it going mid September.

Are those solar panels on the roofs ridge or some kind of venting?
Nice rendering, that'll work. |
I am telling you I could turn that property into a really bitchen Mountain Bike skills course. Plenty of natural features that would make for really good jumps and skinny's to ride on.
You may want to add this into your life. http://reviews.mtbr.com/how-to-the-s...o-jeff-lenosky Quote:
