It would be easier and cheaper in the long run if you want to run a 1st gen body to build the frame with the suspension, engine set back, but use the same wheel base and drop a body over it. It has been done more than a few times.

There was a company on here a few years ago that was developing a carbon fiber 69 body. Evolution something or other was the name. Not sure what happened. Really cool renderings

Here are a couple of altered wheelbase '69 chops I did awhile back. I did not lengthen the car, just moved the front wheels forward and rear back.

OK, I am going to need more information and pics

On the white car. The black car maybe exactly the same, but I can see more detail on the white one.

I love what you did. Had you described it to me I would have been doubtful, but I really like the look! Thanks for posting

This one looks just right - and MUST be built. Very military, low and mean.

(Is it just me - or does that look sorta like the next gen Camaro spread that way ?)

Very nice work ALLKAR !

Your wheelbase change looks awesome.

Did you notice a change in handling? If so, what?

Mare pictures???

Thanks,

Ty

He said Chops so I think that he means Photoshops not building a real car, that white one looks sweet.

Oops!

Thanks for the clarity.

Ok, at least for now I'll keep an open mind and see where it takes me. That white one is Kick Ass!!

Keep in mind that he didnt extend the front end in the picture......just moved the wheel opneing in the exsisting panels. We have done this a few times to make the wheel opening fit around the wheel better tri fives usually need one end of the front fender opening extending just a hair to make the wheel opening symetrical around the wheel.
