Did you replace the factory body bushings? If you didn't that could be why you have a 1/4" gap and had to add some shims....

Yep, I did replace the bushings with aftermarket ones. Thank's for the info that helps make things more clear. I thought my body was a little off or the connectors were made wrong.:thumbsup:
