when was the last time one of those large 4x4's was doing 80+ on the freeway. /QUOTE] This morning on the freeway. I have a longer response, but I'm on my way out the door for the weekend. I think we agree on most points but our terminology is different. :captain: |
my point is, what is acceptable to them, should be different than what is acceptable to our cars. vibration out of a huge truck is common and therefore it is looked past.
it all comes down to a few things; is it stock? if it is in all aspects including ride height, dont even think twice. set the pinion to the tranny and call it a day. gm wouldnt have designed it not to work (well maybe, it depends on what kind of day they were having). is it something other than stock? do you have a longer tranny, a different rearend which puts the pinion at a different height, a lowered ride height, etc...??? if you do i would measure the ds at the same time. it only takes a few extra minutes, and instead of just making the angles the same, you could set up the working angles perfect. tim |
