I bet the car comes into play big time as well. Hell...almost nothing has every bolted on my car. I realize body work is different but..
|
Well we have used all panels and for the most part the Goodmark panels fit the best, you can not expect them to fit all cars because of how different everything is. I have been doing the Goodmark parts for years and just know what panels work and what ones you are expected to metal work. Original is allways better but way more expensive. Goodmark is GM authorized by the way and I think most of the parts are GM cert some might not be but I know they were changing all that over
If you are trying to save a buck think of this before buying, if you know how to do metal work they are all fine but if you have to pay someone or your body shop to make them fit the car they will cost more than most stock sheet metal to fit to the car. We try to keep all the body panels stock but sometimes you cant find what you need and have to go aftermarket. |
Just make sure you test fit everything. I had a problem with Trunk lids on my 69 Camaro. The third one was good. All of them were Goodmark and only one of them was Golden Legion. Golden is suppose to make some of the best fitting panels. All cars are different as they have had a different life. I have had a lot of luck with panels from Golden. BUT I STILL TEST FIT EVERYTHING. IF IT IS OFF I WILL GET A LITTLE I WILL GET A NEW PANEL.:_paranoid

I've heard many have had problems with pass quarters. Seems like an issue with the stamp tooling.

This is a very timely topic for me since I'm ready to purchase 2 full quarters for my '67 Camaro. I've been debating on who to go with for awhile. I live 20 miles from the Goodmark warehouse here in GA, so it seems like a no brainer. However, I just recently visisted the Dynacorn web site and went to the "ask Joe" section. I typed in Goodmark to read some of the questions and was amazed at how much Dynacorn pretty much hates Goodmark and bashes them over and over again. Of course this is their perspective, but man...I guess I'm still on the fence. I'm sure I'll get the panels from Goodmark just because of proximity (no shipping), but it was an interesting read to say the least.

All the Dynacorn parts we use fit great, can't beat the price either
