Striped this car in 1 day with 3M clean and strips... don't waste your time with 36-40 or with chemical stripers...this is the tool to use if you do not want to send it out for Media Blasting(best choice)!!!

your talking about the black disc that goes on a grinder or da?

GregWeld 12-03-2009 08:06 AM

They're green -- but yes - that's what he's talking about. These work really really well... as long as your surface is flat... as opposed to "edges" that tear up the nubs... and as long as you don't apply pressure... just let the wheel work.

I would be very concerned about someone using these that wasn't very experienced... they can create a lot of heat (warpage).

Thank you camaro2nv.

FlameBroiled - How many disc did it take to strip that car?

FlameBroiled 12-09-2009 08:53 AM

It took 8 wheels to strip that car, and yes it can get hot so do not stay in one place for too long (feel the panel with your hand, you'll get the idea real fast).

A face sheild is recomended, those little fibers hit you at a pretty fast speed.

They work like a hot damn, just make sure to keep the rotation of the disc coming off edges not into edges.

Good luck its going to be dusty

Cheers

Aaron
