Thanks for the replies. I know it's not a high end build like some of the other cars on this forum, but I think it's going to turn out pretty solid.

High or low end, as long as your in the game. There all good

Finally got my 383 from Blueprint Engines. The dyno sheet says 420hp @5500 rpm, and 450 lb/ft of torque.

Gonna finish cleaining up the intake manifold, painting the headers, paint the block Hugger Orange, and hopefully have it in the car in the next couple of days.

Engine is finally in. Having the fender wells, hood hinges, and core support powder coated, replacing the brake booster/master cylinder with an SSBC set up, adding a quick ratio steering box and that should finish up the enigine compartment. It's only taken a year. Hopefully the rest of the project goes a little faster.

Those blueprint engine's seem like a deal.

It's a 4 bolt main block with one piece rear main.

Well there's been some progress, but the real world has intervened and turned this into more of a budget build than I planned for. It's going to be more of a mild resto-mod than a pro-touring car. The original plan was to use a Currie 9" but the budget has led to me rebuilding my 12 bolt. I tore it down and it was in pretty good shape with Richmond 4.11s an Eaton Posi and Strange C clip Eliminators. It needed new bearings so I ordered new C clip eliminators from Strange. Unfortunately that means no disc brakes so I went with drums from Classic Industries. At least they're better than the old rusty brakes. I cleaned and painted the housing and now it's ready to get back under the car.

Well it's back on the wheels, but I'm under a time crunch because I'm moving to the mainland. So no time for paint or body work. I did get my new front fascia on so I'll have front turn signals. I'll have to paint it when I get settled in to our new place. Here's some new pics.

Looking good, there's nothing wrong with a buget build!! I hope you do not have to move all of those cars in your garage??
