Thanks for posting this Travis.

I got my studs and lugs from Curtis @ MSI based on your recommendation to Rob to check them out. Very cool stuff and great people to work with.

I purchased a red floor jack from Costco 4yrs ago and it is still working great and we use it for many other unintended uses in our shop like moving large machines and equipment around. It's all steel and low profile, but unfortunately not made in the USA. I couldn't find a link to it, but I believe it was just over $100.00.

I am guessing you are referring to the Arcan jack Costco has been selling.

I know you are a fan of the McGard lug nuts. For open end lug nuts what is your expierence/ what do you think of the monster lugs?

For polishing the aluminum hoops what polish do you recommend and do you polish them a certain direction. Thanks

Evan

We use and recommend a metal cleaner called Wenol. It comes in two types, Blue & Red. The Blue is ultra fine and the Red is bit coarser. Start with the Blue, and if you need something more aggressive then try the red. We've got a pint of the Red here on our assembly bench. A little dab will do ya!

Easiest place to find it is Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/Harold-Imports.../dp/B0000DE4QE

http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Soft-Aut...3EWRMTQHY1TQ39

As always use a soft clean rag and do not get it on a anodized finish. Only use it on an uncoated bare metal surfaces and again a small amount goes a long way. A tube of Wenol will last for years to come.

We were getting clean used baby diapers for wheel cleaning rags as I've these are the best. The Costco micro fiber towels will scratch a polished or highly machined aluminum surface. Not all micro fiber towels are equal.

Thanks!
