hahahha thanks for the help |
Where does this "Pink" Wire go to (BAT location on coil) ?
Do I need this wire? Since I am running an LS3? |
No, you won't need that one or the white one next to it. I have an LS3 with the dakota digital VHX gauges and used their OBD2 interface to get the tach and water temp. I removed several of the wires and used the slots for other components- Oil pressure, VSS and check engine light (off of my GMPP harness) and reverse lights wires. I also wired the DSE wiper motor through the bulkhead. I did not use the larger red wire going from the alternator to the starter, my GMPP harness already had it. The thing I like about the AAW classic update harness is that you can customize it for your particular application. I think I only have 1 or 2 open slots now between the engine and front light harness plugs.

You shouldn't need the Dakota Digital stuff, I am only using it because of their gauges. I believe that harness has most of the outputs except for maybe the water temp, fuel gauge and possibly the oil pressure. You can get pretty creative in using some of the used slots for other things. Here is the bulkhead pinout diagram that I used and maybe it will give you some ideas. If you can't understand my chicken scratch just let me know LOL The mirror pins are for a new style rear view mirror with the temp display. Just remember when you change the pinouts on the outside (engine side) to make sure you modify the fuse harness side also. This is best accomplished with the dash harness not installed...... believe me :goofy: Sorry for the sideways photo, it won't upload right..
