Mark Stielow was asked why he hasn't done an IRS car and voiced his concerns about breakage. https://lateral-g.net/forums/show...irs#post423469 A year ago I was very interested in doing a Corvette transaxle. I was a bit concerned about the serviceability of the C6 system, the amount of work to convert the Torque tube and install it in an early Camaro, also to change a clutch, you have to drop out the whole rear suspension with torque tube. Not something you could do trackside. Once I saw the Art Morrison system I figured it was the next best thing, plus every component is 2x stronger, plus easier to do a Clutch change, easier to install. The C6 IRS is still a great idea I think, with bit better rear weight bias.

I have heard horror stories about C6 clutch swaps! But I'm thinking it could be possible to build it with the transaxle but not use the torque tube to be able drop the driveshaft and be able to service the clutch as you normally would.
