For blower cars, the trick is to keep IAT's down using water/meth. Octane enhancement was secondary. Adding a secondary fuel source added tuning challenges and the need for fail safes in the tune. Nitrous is also a good way to cool the intake charge.

Hmmm... hadn't considered nitrous. If I did it though, it'd be a super small shot.

I'm leaning towards methanol at the moment because it meets all the criteria I need, and I can make my own mix.

The P12 ECM does not have flex fuel compatibility. Sad, I know. Later model trucks came with the E67 ECM which runs alot of LS motors. I could try to switch to that computer, but there may be alot of issues with VVT and so on, so it isn't worth it to me to be the first guy to do it.

I'm wondering how much methanol I should be spraying. Should I try to match it to my specific rate of fuel consumption, or just open the taps and hold on for dear life?
