Thanks. I am painting the dash and tailpan on the car tomorrow morning. I will get the wheels on it right after that so I can decide if thats the wheels I want to stay with...

Well got the dash and tailpan finally done along with all the window moldings. Need to lower my 4X4 camaro by about 4" and get rid of that nasty looking master cylinder but at least now I get to see what it looks like painted with the wheels on it. I think I like it! Was considering changing the wheels before but not now....

waynieZ 03-18-2011 07:36 PM

I think it will look great with those wheels. Nice.

Rybar 03-18-2011 09:26 PM

I like it, the paint and wheels look killer

So, I want opinions on the outside of the car. Should I go with painted bumpers? Black annodized door handles or polished from Ring Bros? What about mirrors and rear spoiler for the car??? Let me know what you think...:lateral:

awr68 11-27-2011 01:02 PM

IMHO, that car needs bright work. Cars can easily get too black. Your wheels are all silver and need more on the car to balance it as a whole. Anodizing scratches very easily...I would never put it on a high wear part like a door handle. Your car is looking great!

firstgencam 11-27-2011 01:24 PM

Thanks! More opinons needed, I appreciate the input... Spoiler or no spoiler on the back?

tmadden 11-27-2011 06:14 PM

Car looks great. IMHO always have a spoiler. 69's look naked or incomplete without one! Keep the pics coming.

Rybar 12-12-2011 12:24 AM

firstgencam 12-26-2011 05:26 AM

Thanks again I really appreciate it. Been working on this car for a long time now. On and off about 4yrs, I am glad to see its finally coming together...

waynieZ 12-26-2011 09:04 AM

The car looks great and that exhaust fits nice. Did you make a video of the car runing? I'd love to hear it.

I will post up a video tomorrow evening after I get the speed density tune flashed into the computer...

CornHusker4Life 12-27-2011 02:55 PM

Jon, I love the car and I am sure your son will love it when you give it to him. After you have years of fun with it, of course. I love the chevelle poking out of the garage in the background.
Jarrod

firstgencam 01-04-2012 05:18 PM

Yea that chevelle looks familiar I am sure! Thanks for the comments. Dont you have a new ride to share with everyone?!

firstgencam 04-08-2012 05:45 AM

Getting really close to finishing! Just need to charge the AC system, touch up a few places, put my glovebox door on, and vent my valve covers. I have had several ask what that is behind my shifter and its the controller I went with. for my stereo system. Marine controller so that its more convenient to operate...

Also wanted to mention that Fully Loaded Interiors in Ooltewah, Tn, did the interior on the car for me. Great group of guys and the quality of work is awesome. The interior turned out really nice for the money!

Richio1 04-08-2012 08:13 AM

Looks fantastic. Wheels, stance, interior... Perfect! Congrats on a great build done just in time to enjoy it this summer.
