Custom fabricated box that will house the Pioneer double DIN head-unit. Made from two pieces and compound cornered 100% with the Mittler Brothers bead-roller.

TIG welding the dash hood.

I like the radio box.
>Made from two pieces and compound welded 100% What does compound welded mean ? I assume you formed the indent with the beadroller, then rolled the edges over with a hammer before welding it to the rest of the box. Be interested if you had some other way of forming the indent. I guess you might have also hammer formed that using some wooden die pieces or something also. |

And good catch, that was a multi-tasking post mistake by me. It's a compound cornered piece out of two sheets and TIG welded together along with custom bent/ rolled brackets inside to hold the stereo in place. |
Pioneer double DIN mocked into the dash. Clean and simple.

That's slick Evan!

Very nice. |
There are two reasons I like this thread.
First, mighty fine work! Second, my name is Evan and if I ignore the fact they are talking about you, it makes me feel like I have some skills. When in reality I could tape two pieces of paper together. |
Wicked on so many levels
Great color, perfect wheels, unreal fabrication...just :confused59:

Dash and box mocked into the car, measuring everything out and planning out the center console now. Clean and streamlined is what we're aiming for.

Super nice work. Inner fender and firewall work looks really good and I really like the dash layout.

ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!
Well, the '69 Roadrunner has at least. She's currently en route to upholstery this morning. Updates to follow once we have her back. Interior was completely sound deadened before she left, rollers put on and a parting shot just before she was loaded up. http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6w388wtr.jpg http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6qvt54on.jpg http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...pszjutfe3r.jpg |
Killer work guys! Looking forward to see it done!

Front and rear bumpers have been tig welded and cleaned up courtesy of Tyler. They're off to the chrome shop.

And here's a sneak peek of the dash from our upholstery guy. Colour is a little off from the bright lights in their shop, but once we have it all back, we'll get some better shots in our shop.
