Clutch Master Bracket Kit

Please PM me a price for a complete kit for a 69 Camaro.
Also, do you sell the actuator and hose as well?
Thanks.
Marco

Hi Marco,
yes, we just added a full kit but we are not in stock on a few small parts that are being shipped. Looking at 8 days before we start shipping.
We are using a GM actuator part number 24264182 and adding a 22" bleeder hose kit to it.
you can order here.

Hey Vince,
Is this something that's likely to happen soon or could this be months out. I have just purchased new crossbar and clutch linkage to go mechanical but if this is something that is coming relatively quick I might be able to hold out.

Side note: wondering if this bracket could be made to clear a power brake booster and also not interfere with the wiring bulkhead. Some of the brackets I've seen are for only manual brake applications.

Thanks
BB

I had that issue too that's another reason why I made these for my car. It will fit a stock, DSE and aftermarket boosters. It also clears the Camaro and A body fuse panel. If a guy is going to install an American Auto wire upgrade kit it would be a great opportunity to move the bulkhead over a half inch.

If I can get my hands on a Chevy II pedal bracket and pedals I could get it done 2 or 3 weeks.

Let me see what I can come up with.

Bad Bowtie 03-05-2014 06:18 PM

Sounds good... This is I think the smallest booster I could get so hopefully it will clear that. I know it doesn't give a good shot, but I can get more if needed.

Hey Vince,
From my earlier thread, were you able to come up with a 66-67 Nova bracket setup? Just checking in as I have ditched the mechanical clutch
stuff and now looking for an alternative. Keep me posted
Thanks

Hi Guys,

Not yet.

I was supposed to get a Nova in the shop but he changed his mind so I'm still waiting for a nova or a firewall panel. But then I got tied up with projects.

Let me see what I can do.

Vince

out2kayak 09-06-2014 06:39 PM

Any idea if it would work for a C2 Corvette?

98ssnova 09-07-2014 07:37 AM

Maybe i missed it but will it fit a 72 Nova?

badazz81z28 09-07-2014 07:46 AM

Vince, I would be interested in one of these for my 1970 Camaro...Too late to jump on board??

Does it flex at all on the bottom of the bracket?

Rick Dorion 09-08-2014 06:30 AM

Vince, will this work on a 67 chevy B-body?

cwylie 09-08-2014 07:16 AM

Are they going to be ready this week?

Yes, fit and tested on a 71 Nova.

No flex if you run the reinforcement holes at the lower section. From what I have seen the firewall will flex before the bracket.

Not sure. Would you have a picture of your firewall? These have been run on a few a-bodies with some modifications.

sorry, i missed you......

These should. We have tested on a 67,69 & 71 Chevelle, 70 GTO, but with a little work. Its at the pedal and the steering column output firewall flange...
You can use the existing zbar rod mount but the pedal pressure is a tad high so we used a 3/4" bore master to correct that. In-fact we now recommend using the 3/4" bore and they seem to work fine with most actuators we have used.

You will also have to trim and modify your firewall so the plate is seated flat. One of my customers made a 10g spacer plate.

nyciti 09-19-2014 03:55 PM

Vince, just order mine, I'll let you know how it fits with a Hydroboost on a 66 Tempest if you haven't tested that already.

Thanks.

Yep, we made the modifications to fit with the hydratech hydra boost.

Make sure your bolts at your pedal bracket are long enough. We haven't had any short ones yet. You will have to trim your firewall flange.

Also, if you are running them on an A body I recommend a pedal stop, over travel can damage your slave/actuator/release unit. Please make sure you measure. The master has a 1.2in travel and I usually limit to 1" to comp for firewall flex.

All orders shipping till 5pm today out in the AM.

Thanks Steve.

What trans and engine do you have? The kit is for T56 and uses a factory T56 actuator. Let me know.

Sheck44 09-21-2014 03:09 AM

Combo

Vince
LS7 with T56 Mag ...
Going with Hydroboost as well, is there any clearance issues or anything I should be aware of when I order ?

Thanks
Steve

Vince@Meanstreets 09-21-2014 12:15 PM

You should not have any issues. We made a few revisions to accomidate the Hydratech hydraboost.

Since you are running the LS7 clutch I will have to find out what clutch actuator is best to go with. Let me know if you find or have information.

Sheck44 09-22-2014 04:22 AM

Actuator

Maybe someone could advise here ...

My engine builder (Manny @ Dasilva Motorsport here in Ontario) says we are going with the following ...

Stock ls7 clutch with quicktime bell housing and the gen5 Camaro slave.

Anyone with advice on the actuator would be appreciated

Thanks
Steve
