Yeah I can TIG and patch sheet metal pretty well by now too, but I also struggle with really getting it metal finished - and in a way its a waste of time anyway as anything I build (or anyone else really) will get skimmed enough to cover it, but I"m always amazed how the pros can make their patches look like a continuous piece of metal that was never welded. I'd like to watch their finishing technique from start to finish some time.
and just go ahead and install A/C, you're going to want it sooner or later and much easier to put it in now. |

I had planned on running the Weld RT-S 71......... They apparently no longer offer the width and backspacing that I need in a "high pad height" - which is what is needed to clear the C6Z brakes.
