I'm doing a '61 Bel Air and put a Morrison chassis under it. I've been pretty happy with it, but it will still be a while before I get a chance to drive it. I'm thinking the rack and pinion, disc brakes, and lower center of gravity will make the car much more drivable, plus we set the engine back a few inches. I really like these '60s full size chevys.

Actually we just finished designing some tubular upper and lower control arms for the front. We redesigned the lower arm to an A-frame style arm, with an adjustable bearing on the frame end. Ton's of caster available. Chassis Works makes a Wilwood brake kit for the stock spindles as well.

We also have the front & rear sway bars w/ the new PosiLinks and rear trailing arms w/ adj. panhard bar. More images here.

IIRC, the rear upper control arms are the same as 67-72 a-bodies and the lowers are the same as g-bodies. Or it could be the other way around. Or I could be thinking of E bodies instead of B bodies.
Forget I even piped up. :willy: |
Bulldog - can't wait to watch the build.
the chicayne had Front: 19” x 8” with Nitto NT555 Extreme, size 245/35ZR19 Rear: 22” x 10” with Nitto NT555 Extreme, size 285/35ZR22 Hurrican had a 295 40 20 on the rear - nice tire can't remember the front ps i personally would go with Air Ride, leave the motor and drive the heck out of it. |
