The outer wheelhouse did not match the inner. We had this same problem on the 65 coupe and the outer wheelhouse was from a different vendor. Brian cut it in two than test fit the front
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ustang/410.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ustang/411.jpg He cut the rear section than welded it together http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ustang/412.jpg After taking the B pillar apart we found it was beyond repair. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ustang/413.jpg They only make them for a coupe so he had to make a patch http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ustang/414.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ustang/415.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ustang/416.jpg |
Today Brian finished sanding and I sprayed two heavy coats of SPI epoxy.

After every thing you guys did on this car that patch on the new B pillar must have felt like childs play. Excelent work.

I want one of these. Must add to the bucket list
|
This project has been on hold for awhile but it is time to finish it so we got it out of storage and into the fab shop. The first thing Brian did was line up the deck lid.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psrdibee8k.jpg He had to do a little cutting and welding on it and I did the bodywork and sprayed two coats of SPI epoxy. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psb8id7xcz.jpg Block sanded and sprayed SPI Turbo primer. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pszzmnec8b.jpg The customer wanted vents in the hood and I found these. This is not his car. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psbewwn8cn.jpg After Brian did a lot of measuring he found out they would fit without modifying the brace. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psfnlfek9i.jpg He just had to trim a little of the flat part of the brace http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pssecz7dj0.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps7dvqy2f9.jpg |
