Exactly what I'd expect from you Tyler...:captain:

:faint: The stance is perfect!! How much more are you coming out with the front wheel?? Is that a Marquez front lower valance?

ScotI 11-17-2011 05:11 PM

The wheel sizes were mentioned early on but I was wondering if it was still an 18/20 combo? The rears sit nice.

Jason - I couldn't find any in-progress pics but they were just intended as a modernized version of the factory louvers.

A few more updates on this car. We have finished all of the bmetal work and it is now in the body and paint phase. We have stripped the car, metal prepped it, primed everything and have reassembled the car. Body work will begin shortly after all of the panels are final aligned.

Great work! Love the side vents and exhaust cutouts.

GregWeld 12-01-2011 08:20 PM

In the Pacific NorthWET those were called ICE CUBE TRAYS -- because they'd fill up with water and then freeze....

I like your open versions! Nice!

Gandalf 12-01-2011 09:09 PM

VERY nice work! And I want a tour of that shop one day - very clean, organised and oh yeah - huge!

Time for an update on this build. We have been going steady on the body and prep work for the last 2 months. The car is now in the paint stage and beginning to layout color.

Primed and ready for blocking.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture221213.jpg

Final prime. Ready for final blocking and then into the booth.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture221340.jpg

Rhino Linned the bottom of the car for a clean, durable finish.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture221657.jpg

And a few painted panels,

All of the parts for the car have now been painted. The body is next in line to be sprayed. The chassis came back from powder coating and the assembly will now begin.

They may have made their own, but it looks like it is from Marquez Design.

waynieZ 02-10-2012 10:36 PM

Paint and body look great.

Jay Hilliard 02-16-2012 06:04 AM

Very nice. I also used Rhino liner on my wifes 69 camaro. I love the way it lays, texture and final appearance. Its a very nice way to finish the bottom of a car.

Nice job guys.

chevelleshack 02-16-2012 05:26 PM

That chassis black has just the right gloss . Probably been asked before but is that an off the shelf color or custom mix ?
Phil

The frame was powder coated in a semi-gloss black. The control arms and other components were painted with regular clear.

Roadster Shop 02-23-2012 02:10 PM

Moving ahead with the chassis assembly. Motor has been painted and installed with our new stainless headers. Brakes should be here from Baer in the next few days and then the chassis assembly will be complete.

http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture222052.jpg

The body is being sprayed today as well. This is the last of the parts to paint, so this thing should start going bak together and looking like a car again here really soon.
